Veteran mic-controller Richard Twaites, better known as his force-wielding alter ego Visionobi, has been hard at work in the studio for the last 12 months crafting his debut album. He follows up his March single ‘Paradise’, featuring GLXY & Riya, with ‘Wayside’ - a bouncy, bubbling single written with Metalheadz alumni Mikal. This second single represents the darker side of what you can expect from his upcoming freshman record, which is sure to see many a dancefloor gyrate with approval next Summer.
The track starts with foreboding, droning strings and Visionobi’s hypnotic, chant-like lyrics bubbling atop a slick groove. The devil is in the simplicity with this one, with effective processing across the vocals, drums & bassline and an overall gritty yet measured distortion tying everything together.
